Scripture:
"So I prayed to the God of heaven and answered the king." — Nehemiah 2:4

Reflection:
When Nehemiah presented his request to King Artaxerxes, he did so with bold confidence rooted in prayer. The pastor shared how gaining information can lead to both confidence and doubt. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by data or challenges, but Nehemiah’s story reminds us to lean on God’s wisdom and promises.
The bold steps God calls us to often come with risks. Whether it’s leading a family, stepping into ministry, or making a significant financial commitment, doubts can creep in. Yet, as the pastor emphasized, faith is the equalizer. When we focus on God’s ability instead of our limitations, our confidence grows. Like Nehemiah, we can pray and trust God to lead us through uncertainty.

Application:
Reflect on a situation where doubt has held you back. Write down one step you can take to act in faith, even in the face of uncertainty. Pray for God’s guidance and courage to move forward.

Prayer:
Father, I confess that doubt often clouds my decisions. Help me to place my confidence in You and not in my own understanding. Teach me to pray boldly and act in faith, trusting that You will provide and guide me every step of the way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Questions for Reflection:
1. Where are you allowing doubt to stop you from stepping into God’s calling?
2. How can prayer shift your perspective from fear to faith?
