Scripture: Genesis 39:2-3 – “The Lord was with Joseph, and he became a successful man, serving in the household of his Egyptian master. When his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made everything he did successful.”

Devotional: Joseph’s circumstances did not define his faith—his faith defined his circumstances. Even as a slave, Joseph remained faithful, and God’s favor followed him. When we face seasons of hardship, our attitude and faithfulness determine whether we thrive or simply survive.
Joseph could have chosen bitterness and despair, but instead, he chose diligence and integrity. He didn’t allow his unfair circumstances to dictate his work ethic. He honored God in his service, and because of that, God blessed him in the midst of adversity.
God used Joseph’s servitude to develop his humility, responsibility, and leadership. Often, God places us in seasons of service before He elevates us to leadership. The key is our response—will we remain faithful, diligent, and hopeful?
If you feel stuck in a situation where you are unseen or unappreciated, remember Joseph’s example. He did not serve for human recognition but for God’s glory. And in due time, God lifted him up. The same is true for you—your faithfulness in small things will lead to greater things in God’s time.

Prayer: Lord, help me to serve faithfully, even in difficult seasons. Teach me to trust that You are preparing me for greater things. I choose faithfulness today, knowing You are with me. Strengthen me to work with integrity and diligence, even when I feel overlooked. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
