Scripture: Genesis 39:20-21 – "Joseph's master took him and threw him into the prison … But the Lord was with Joseph and extended kindness to him."

Devotional: Joseph did the right thing and ended up in prison. That truth can shake you if you believe obedience always leads to ease. But God's plan is bigger than immediate rewards.
Sometimes you do everything right and still suffer. You walk in integrity and still lose the promotion. You stay pure and still feel isolated. But obedience is never wasted.
Joseph didn’t let the injustice derail him. He kept trusting. Kept working. Kept honoring God. And God stayed with him. God's presence isn't proven by your success; it's proven by His faithfulness in your struggle.
Doing the right thing may bring temporary pain, but it always leads to long-term purpose.

Prayer: Lord, help me stay faithful when obedience costs me. Help me trust Your presence even when my circumstances feel unfair. I believe You are using every trial to shape me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Reflection Questions:
 1. Have you ever experienced consequences for doing the right thing?
 2. How does knowing God is with you change how you see those moments?
 3. What can you learn from Joseph’s faith in the face of injustice?
