Scripture: Acts 20:35 - keep in mind the words of the Lord Jesus, for He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’

Reflection: In Acts 20:35, Paul reminds us of Jesus' words: "It is more blessed to give than to receive." Serving others brings joy and fulfillment that goes beyond what we receive in return.

Devotional: Paul, in his farewell speech to the Ephesian elders, quotes Jesus saying, "It is more blessed to give than to receive." This profound truth speaks to the heart of Christian service. When we serve others, we experience a deep sense of joy and fulfillment that material possessions or personal achievements cannot provide.
Serving others allows us to participate in God's work and see lives transformed. It shifts our focus from ourselves to the needs of others, cultivating a spirit of generosity and gratitude. The joy that comes from serving is a reflection of God's love working through us, bringing light and hope to those around us.

Reflection Questions:
    1. Have you experienced the joy that comes from serving others? How did it impact you?
    2. In what ways can you cultivate a spirit of generosity and service in your daily life?

Practical Application:
    • Make a list of practical ways you can serve others in your church and community. Commit to taking action on at least one of these each week.
    • Share your experiences of serving with others, encouraging them to join you in acts of service.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the joy that comes from serving others. Help me to cultivate a spirit of generosity and to find fulfillment in giving rather than receiving. Use me to bring Your love and light to those around me. Amen.
