Scripture:

Hebrews 12:3 –

For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, so that you won’t grow weary and lose heart.”

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 –

Therefore we do not give up… our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory.”

Matthew 27:46 –

And about three in the afternoon Jesus cried out with a loud voice, ‘My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?’”

Devotional:

At the lowest point of Joseph’s story, he was in a prison for something he didn’t do. Misunderstood. Alone. Yet God was working.

Jesus walked the same road. And even in His most human moment—when He felt forsaken—He stayed faithful. And that moment led to the greatest breakthrough in history.

Your breaking point is not the end. It is the turning point. God is using it. Don’t quit.

Prayer:

Jesus, thank You for going before me. Thank You for modeling what faithfulness looks like in suffering. Help me endure, hope, and trust. In Your name, Amen.

Reflection Questions:

  1. How does Jesus’ faithfulness in suffering encourage you?
  2. What pain in your life do you need to surrender today?
  3. What would it look like to trust that God is producing breakthrough even now?
