Scripture: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” – Jeremiah 1:5

Jeremiah reminds us of the sacredness of life in all stages. God values each person, even from conception, seeing every life as intentional and precious. In a society where life can sometimes be devalued or seen as inconvenient, this verse invites us to view life as God does—with love, purpose, and a call to protect the most vulnerable.

In recent history, we have seen tragic events like the Holocaust and staggering numbers of abortions worldwide—practices that show how humanity can lose sight of the intrinsic worth of life. The spirit of Molech, which leads people to sacrifice others for perceived security or convenience, persists in different forms. When we allow fear and self-interest to guide our decisions, we open the door to this spirit’s influence.
Abortion, for example, often arises from situations of desperation, fear, or a perceived need for self-preservation. Yet God’s Word calls us to protect life, especially the most vulnerable, and to seek alternatives that honor His creation. Being pro-life isn’t only about opposing abortion; it’s about cultivating a culture that values and supports life at all stages and circumstances.

Application
Consider supporting organizations that provide assistance to mothers in need, advocating for adoption, or volunteering at centers that serve at-risk families. Seek to be a voice for the voiceless in both word and action.

Closing Prayer
Lord, give us hearts that defend the defenseless and uphold the sanctity of life. Help us to be voices for the voiceless and to trust You in situations where fear and uncertainty may cloud our judgment. We know that You are the giver of life; may we honor that gift by supporting life wherever we can. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Reflection Question:
What can we do to advocate for the unborn and other vulnerable groups in our society?
