Scripture: Genesis 50:20 – “You planned evil against me; God planned it for good to bring about the present result—the survival of many people.”

Devotional: After years of trials, betrayal, and suffering, Joseph finally stood in a position of power, able to look back and see God’s purpose in everything he endured. What his brothers intended for harm, God had turned for good. Joseph's journey from the pit to the palace was not an accident—it was part of a divine plan.
Sometimes, it is only after we have walked through pain that we can see how God used it to refine us. The pit, slavery, imprisonment—none of these hardships were wasted. Each experience shaped Joseph into the leader God had called him to be.
What trials have you faced that seemed meaningless at the time? Looking back, can you see God’s hand in them? Often, our suffering is not just for our own growth but for the benefit of others. Joseph’s faithfulness didn’t just bless him—it saved an entire nation. Likewise, our endurance through trials can lead to testimonies that encourage and strengthen others.
No matter what you’ve been through, know this: God wastes nothing. He is using your hardships for a greater purpose, even if you can’t see it yet. Trust Him, and in time, you will witness His faithfulness unfold.

Prayer: Father, thank You for working all things together for good, even when I don’t understand. Help me to trust You through every season of hardship, knowing that You have a greater plan. Teach me to walk in faith, believing that my trials are shaping me for a purpose beyond what I can see. Use my story to glorify You and to bring hope to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
