Checking in at Church

🕒 Arrive 15 minutes before service to allow time for check-in and finding a seat.
👋 A Moment Maker (volunteer) will greet you and walk you to our Kids VIP Check-In area.
🔍 If you aren’t greeted, just follow the signs to the colorful K!DS area!
📋 Our Kids Moment Makers will help you check in by gathering your family’s information.
🔖 Your child will receive a first-time guest sticker, and you will be given a matching security sticker for pick-up.
🎉 A Moment Maker will then escort you and your child to their fun, age-appropriate environment for an amazing experience!

Your child's safety is our #1 priority

 

✅ All Moment Makers (16+ years old) are background-checked and approved to ensure a safe environment for every child.
✅ Volunteers must complete Moment Maker Training and shadow training.
✅ Volunteer-to-child ratios are maintained for optimal safety and engagement.
✅ Every child must be checked in and out using our security tag system to ensure they leave with the correct parent/guardian.

To accomplish our vision, we uphold these core values:

1. Safety

We follow strict policies and procedures to ensure all children are in a secure, structured environment.

  • All volunteers (16+ years) must pass a background check and complete training.
  • Volunteers must wear Kairos Kids t-shirts when serving.
  • Check-in and check-out procedures ensure every child is accounted for at all times.

2. Fun!

Kids should love coming to church! We create a joyful, high-energy environment where learning about Jesus is exciting and engaging.

3. Creative Bible Teaching

We use Think Orange Curriculum in all K!DS environments to help children understand biblical truth in a way that is interactive, relevant, and memorable.

  • Lessons include Large Group and Small Group experiences.
  • Teaching materials are prepared in advance to create a smooth, distraction-free learning time.

4. Age-Appropriate Environments

We make sure every child learns in a way that is best suited to their stage of development.

  • Children are placed in age-appropriate groups from birth through 5th grade.
  • Each environment is designed with activities, music, and lessons tailored to that age group.

5. Relationships Matter

Faith is best built in community, and we encourage strong relationships between kids, leaders, and peers.

  • Volunteers serve weekly in the same environment as often as possible to build trust with children.
  • Small groups are established for kids ages Toddler – 5th grade.
  • Our spaces are designed to foster friendships through interactive activities and engaging discussions.

NURSERY

We provide a clean and safe nursery for your child so that you and your family can enjoy worship services without distraction. Babies are surrounded by caring Moment Makers who love nurturing these little ones. When checking in your child, please bring a diaper bag, diapers, wipes, bottle or sippy cup, pacifier, extra outfit, and a soothing stuffed animal or blanket if necessary.

PRE-K | 3's & 4's

Our Preschool environment provides a safe zone for those who may be a little unsteady on their feet. In addition to playing, energetic moment makers begin introducing children to important truths from God’s Word. When checking in your child, please bring: pull-ups and wipes, and a change of clothes; sippy cups are okay, too!

ELEMENTARY 1 | K-2nd Grade

Elementary kids at Kairos experience interactive lessons that reinforce important virtues from God’s word. Using a large group format that features engaging worship, multimedia, and hands-on activities, dedicated moment makers teach the children and prepare them to transition seamlessly to their next age-appropriate environment.

ELEMENTARY 2 | 3rd-5th Grade

Kids will likely be the most amazing part of your child’s week! Passionate leaders present an engaging large group lesson, complete with awesome worship, and multimedia. This is followed by an age-appropriate small group time to dig deeper into each week’s bottom line from God’s Word.
