TO BOLDLY STEP INTO THE FUTURE, WE HAVE TO CONTINUALLY PREPARE IN THE PRESENT.
1 Corinthians 12:24-26 - God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the less honorable, 25 so that there would be no division in the body, but that the members would have the same concern for each other. 26 So if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. 27 Now you are the body of Christ, and individual members of it.
THE WEEKLY GATHERING OF JESUS FOLLOWERS IS VITAL TO THE FORWARD MOVEMENT OF THE GOSPEL.
WE MUST BUILD UP OUR INDIVIDUAL FAITH & WE MUST GATHER TOGETHER TO BUILD UP ONE ANOTHER.
1 Corinthians 14:26 - Whenever you come together…. All things must be done for edification.
Oikodomē - building up, edification, strengthening, developing another person’s life through acts and words of love and encouragement
Ephesians 4:11-13 - He personally gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, 12 for the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ, 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into a mature man with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness.
