Scripture:
"So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." — 1 Corinthians 10:31
Reflection:
Productive habits are essential to our growth in Christ. They help us stay focused and intentional in our walk with Him. Yet, as the pastor noted, even good habits can become destructive if left unchecked. Work can turn into workaholism, discipline into legalism, and fun into addiction. The key is keeping our habits aligned with God’s purpose.
By regularly evaluating our actions and intentions, we ensure our habits glorify God rather than serve selfish desires. Ask yourself: Are my daily routines drawing me closer to Jesus or pulling me further away?
Application:
Take time this week to assess your habits. Are there any that started with good intentions but have become harmful? Pray for God’s guidance to refine or replace those patterns with ones that honor Him.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the habits that draw me closer to You. Help me to recognize when my actions have strayed from Your will. Teach me to develop routines that glorify You in all areas of my life. May everything I do reflect Your goodness and love. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Questions for Reflection:
1. Which habit in your life currently glorifies God?
2. How can you ensure your good habits remain aligned with His purpose?
