Scripture: Acts 22:6-10
"As I was traveling and near Damascus, about noon an intense light from heaven suddenly flashed around me. I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?’ 'Who are You, Lord?' 'I am Jesus the Nazarene, the One you are persecuting!' Now those who were with me saw the light, but they did not hear the voice of the One who was speaking to me. Then I said, ‘What should I do, Lord?’ And the Lord told me, ‘Get up and go into Damascus, and there you will be told about everything that is assigned for you to do.'"
From the Sermon:
"Jesus shows us how to wayfind through our conversations: ask questions, boldly speak the truth, bring others into the conversation, offer grace and apologies, decide where to go next. Jesus' influence is the foundation for healthy conversation, necessary conviction, and going the right direction."
Reflection:
Examine a recent difficult conversation you had. How could applying Jesus' wayfinding principles have changed the outcome or direction of that conversation?
Scripture Meditation:
Read Acts 22:6-10 again and reflect on the template Jesus provides for navigating challenging conversations.
Reflection Questions:
How can you incorporate Jesus' wayfinding principles in your difficult conversations?
What role can asking questions and listening play in resolving conflicts?
Closing Prayer:
Heavenly Father, guide us in our difficult conversations, just as You guided Paul in his encounter with You. Help us ask questions, speak truth with grace, and bring others into the conversation for wise counsel. May our conversations be influenced by Your divine direction. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
