Scripture:
Philippians 2:10–11
"At the name of Jesus every knee will bow—in heaven and on earth and under the earth—and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
Genesis 45:8
"It was not you who sent me here, but God. He has made me a father to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household, and ruler over all the land of Egypt."
Devotional:
When Joseph stood before Pharaoh, he wasn’t just stepping into power—he was stepping into purpose. Everything Joseph had endured—the betrayal, slavery, prison, years of silence—was leading to this moment. Not so he could be exalted, but so God could be glorified.
Joseph recognized it. “It was not you who sent me here, but God.” The dream wasn’t about him—it was about the world seeing God through him.
This is what our stories are meant for. Not just healing, not just breakthrough, not just restoration—but glory. God’s glory.
Joseph is a picture of Jesus: rejected, betrayed, punished though innocent—then raised up, not for revenge, but for rescue. And just as Egypt and the nations bowed to Joseph, Scripture says every knee will bow to Jesus.
You may be in a low point right now. But God isn’t finished. He’s writing a story through you—one that points to His power, His mercy, His sovereignty, His Son.
In the end, your name doesn’t need to be exalted. Only one name matters. And every knee will bow to it.
Prayer:
Jesus, let my story point to You. Not my name, not my success, not my platform—but Your glory. Use my highs and lows, my wins and wounds, to show the world who You are. You are Lord, and I bow to You now—willingly and joyfully. In Your name, Amen.
