Devotional Day 5: Living in God's Redeeming Grace

Introduction:
Welcome to the final day of our devotional series. Today, let's focus on living in God's redeeming grace after experiencing His redirection.

Scripture:
1 Timothy 1:12-16 - "I give thanks to Christ Jesus our Lord who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, appointing me to the ministry— 13 one who was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an arrogant man. But I received mercy because I acted out of ignorance in unbelief. 14 And the grace of our Lord overflowed, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 15 This saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”—and I am the worst of them. 16 But I received mercy for this reason, so that in me, the worst of them, Christ Jesus might demonstrate His extraordinary patience as an example to those who would believe in Him for eternal life."

Main Point:
Consider the profound grace Paul experienced despite his past as a blasphemer and persecutor. Reflect on how God's grace covers any distance we create between ourselves and Him.

Quote from the Sermon:
"No matter the distance you created between you and God, His grace can cover it. His love can cover the hurt, suffering, and pain. His forgiveness can cover the feelings of unworthiness, even when you feel like the worst of sinners. Jesus' outstretched hands on the cross cover the longitude and latitude of our sin."

Devotional Reflection:
Think about the grace Paul received despite his past sins. Reflect on times when you felt unworthy or created distance from God. Ponder on the boundless grace that covers all sins.

Challenge:
Read 1 Timothy 1:12-16 again. Spend time in prayer, thanking God for His unfailing grace. Surrender any feelings of unworthiness, and trust in His redeeming love.

Closing Prayer:
Dear Lord, we thank You for the grace that covers our sins. No matter the distance we create, Your love, forgiveness, and outstretched hands on the cross redeem and restore us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
