Scripture:
"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters." — Genesis 1:1-2

Reflection:
The Hebrew term "tohu va-vohu" (formless and void) describes the earth before God brought structure and purpose. Similarly, areas of our lives left unattended tend to spiral into chaos. Whether it’s our relationships, spiritual growth, or even practical responsibilities, neglect leads to disorder.
God invites us to partner with Him in bringing order to the chaos in our lives. Through prayer, discipline, and intentional action, we can build habits that align with His will. Just as the pastor shared, this applies to both physical tasks and spiritual practices. What areas of your life feel like “tohu va-vohu”? Allow God to guide you in restoring structure and purpose.

Application:
Choose one area of chaos in your life—whether it’s your schedule, spiritual walk, or relationships. Spend time in prayer, asking God for a plan to bring order. Take one practical step today to move toward resolution.

Prayer:
Creator God, thank You for being a God of order and purpose. I surrender the chaotic areas of my life to You and ask for Your wisdom to bring restoration. Help me to see the steps I need to take and give me the discipline to follow through. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Questions for Reflection:
What does “chaos” look like in your life right now?

How can you invite God into that area to bring restoration and peace?
