Philippians 2:12-13 - 12 So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now even more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God who is working in you, enabling you both to desire and to work out His good purpose.
OUR SALVATION IS GIVEN BY {GOD'S} GRACE AND IS WORKED OUT BY {GOD'S} TRUTH.
Jude 1 - To those who are the called, loved by God the Father and kept by Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 1:2 - To the temporary residents dispersed in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, chosen 2 according to the foreknowledge of God the Father and set apart by the Spirit for obedience and for sprinkling with the blood of Jesus Christ.
ROLES OF TRINITY IN OUR SALVATION:
– CHOSEN & LOVED BY GOD (GRACE)
– SET PART & CALLED BY HOLY SPIRIT (PEACE)
– KEPT & COVERED BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS (LOVE)

OUR SANCTIFICATION IS WORKED OUT BY THE SPIRIT, NOT OUR FLESH.
1 Corinthians 10:1-11 - Now I want you to know, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, all passed through the sea, 2 and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. 3 They all ate the same spiritual food, 4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from a spiritual rock that followed them, and that rock was Christ. 5 But God was not pleased with most of them, for they were struck down in the wilderness. 6 Now these things became examples for us, so that we will not desire evil things as they did. 7 Don’t become idolaters as some of them were; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and got up to play. 8 Let us not commit sexual immorality as some of them did, and in a single day 23,000 people fell dead. 9 Let us not test Christ as some of them did and were destroyed by snakes. 10 Nor should we complain as some of them did, and were killed by the destroyer. 11 Now these things happened to them as examples, and they were written as a warning to us, on whom the ends of the ages have come.
1 Corinthians 10:12-13 -So, whoever thinks he stands must be careful not to fall. 13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to humanity. God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation He will also provide a way of escape so that you are able to bear it.
GODS PROVISION IS THE HOLY SPIRIT, GIVEN TO US FOR OUR SANCTIFICATION.
Galatians 5:16,19-21 I say then, walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. 19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, moral impurity, promiscuity, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, 21 envy, drunkenness, carousing, and anything similar. I tell you about these things in advance—as I told you before—that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
CULTURE TELLS US TO WORK FOR OUR FLESH BY SURRENDERING TO OUR FEELINGS.
(Galatians 5:19-21)
GOD'S TRUTH TELLS US TO WORK OUT OUR SALVATION BY SURRENDERING OUR FEELINGS TO HOLY SPIRIT.
(Galatians 5:22-23)
Galatians 5:22-24 - the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Philippians 2:12 - work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
TOLERATE YOUR TEMPTATION LONG ENOUGH AND IT WILL SUBDUE AND ENSLAVE YOU IN SIN.
THE FEELINGS OF OUR FLESH WILL ALWAYS CHOSE SATISFACTION OVER SANCTIFICATION.
