Scripture Reading:
Revelation 22:12-  "Look, I am coming soon, and My reward is with Me to repay each person according to his work."

Devotional
From the angels' announcements to the shepherds to the visions in Revelation, the Bible is filled with reminders that Jesus is coming again. Just as the angels heralded His first coming, they are deeply connected to His promised return. Their role shifts from announcing His arrival to preparing us for His second coming, underscoring God’s desire that we live with urgency and expectation.
The Call to Prepare
In the same way that John the Baptist was sent to prepare the way for Jesus' earthly ministry, we are called to prepare the way for His return. This means living lives of holiness, sharing the Gospel, and pointing others to the hope found in Christ.
Preparing for Jesus’ return is not about predicting the day or hour but about remaining faithful in the work He has called us to. It's about aligning our priorities with His kingdom, keeping our hearts ready, and helping others to be ready as well.
Living in Anticipation
Living in anticipation of Jesus’ return doesn’t mean living in fear or constantly watching the skies. Instead, it means living with purpose. Revelation 22:12 reminds us that our actions matter and that Jesus will reward faithful service. This motivates us to live with integrity, love, and commitment to His mission.
When we focus on Jesus’ return, it also changes how we respond to life’s challenges. Trials become opportunities to grow in faith, and success is viewed as a platform to glorify God. The promise of His return gives us hope and perseverance, knowing that every effort for His kingdom is meaningful.

Application
 1. Examine Your Priorities
Are your daily actions and decisions preparing the way for Jesus’ return? Evaluate how you can align your life more closely with His purposes.
 2. Share the Hope of His Return
Talk with others about the promise of Jesus' return. Share how this truth brings hope and purpose to your life.
 3. Stay Spiritually Alert
Like the angels who actively serve in God’s plan, we must remain engaged in our calling. Stay connected to God through prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with other believers.

Closing Prayer
Lord, thank You for the promise of Your return and the hope it brings to my life. Help me to live each day with purpose, aligning my actions with Your will. Give me the courage to share this hope with others and to remain faithful in preparing the way for Your coming. In Jesus' name, Amen.
