In a world where currency and commerce often dictate the flow of life, the phrase "In God We Trust" on our dollar bills serves as a constant, yet subtle, call to acknowledge a higher power. But does this declaration point to a generic sense of divinity, or is it a directive to trust in the true Elohim, the Creator of heaven and earth?

The Apostle Paul, in the cultural melting pot of Athens, addressed a people religious in many ways, yet ignorant of the true God they even labeled as 'unknown'. Paul declares the sovereignty of the Creator, the God who doesn't dwell in temples made by hands nor is served by human hands.

As we reflect on our trust in God, we must ask ourselves if it aligns with the biblical understanding of Elohim. Is our trust placed in the God who is above all earthly riches, or have we allowed the 'god of money' to usurp His place?
