Scripture:
"Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and bless His name." — Psalm 100:4

Reflection:
The gates of Jerusalem weren’t just for keeping enemies out—they were also entry points for people to come in. The gates provided access to the temple, where people could gather in God’s presence.

The church today has spiritual gates—ministries that provide entry points for people to encounter God.
These include:
    • Kids & Youth Ministries – Introducing young hearts to Jesus.
    • Crews & Small Groups – Building community and spiritual growth.
    • Worship Ministry – Creating an atmosphere of praise.
    • Hospitality Teams – Making people feel welcome.
Each of these gates is essential. Without them, people struggle to find their place. Without strong ministries, the church can become closed off and ineffective.
We are all called to serve in the gates—to welcome, teach, encourage, and disciple others. When we take ownership of a ministry, we become gatekeepers, ensuring that more people can experience God’s presence.

Application:
    • Which gate (ministry) do you feel called to serve in?
    • How can you help strengthen the gates of your church?
    • If you haven’t yet, consider getting involved in a ministry that aligns with your gifts.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for the gates of the church that allow people to enter into Your presence. Help me to take my role seriously, whether in serving, encouraging, or welcoming others. Let me be a gatekeeper who invites people to experience Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Questions for Reflection:
1. How can you actively support a ministry in your church?
2, What does it mean to be a gatekeeper in God’s kingdom?
