Scripture:
Matthew 28:19 - “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

Devotional: As followers of Jesus, we are called to live in community with one another. One of the key aspects of discipleship is embracing moments with others. Jesus Himself modeled this by investing in His disciples, teaching them, encouraging them, and preparing them to carry out the mission of spreading the gospel. The Great Commission calls us to not only follow Jesus but also to help others grow in their relationship with Him. This happens when we intentionally spend time with others, sharing our faith and helping one another grow.
In today’s fast-paced, individualistic world, it’s easy to neglect the importance of community. But discipleship cannot happen in isolation. We need one another to grow in our faith. Whether it’s through small groups, Bible studies, or simply having meaningful conversations with fellow believers, these moments are vital for our spiritual growth. When we spend time with others who are also following Jesus, we encourage each other, hold one another accountable, and sharpen one another as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17).
At Kairos, the focus is on creating environments where these moments with others can happen. Through Crews, classes, and ministries like Brotherhood and Sisterhood, there are opportunities to build relationships, share struggles, and grow in faith together. These moments are not just about learning more about God but about walking alongside others as they navigate their faith journey too.
It’s important to remember that discipleship is a lifelong process. We are always learning and growing, and having others in our lives to support us along the way is crucial. Embrace these moments with others, and be intentional about creating space for discipleship in your relationships. Whether you’re a new believer or have been following Jesus for years, there is always room for growth, and God often uses others to help us along the way.

Reflection Questions:
 1. How are you currently engaging in community with other believers? Are there ways you can be more intentional about spending time with others in your faith journey?
 2. Who has helped disciple you, and how can you pass that on to someone else?
 3. What steps can you take to deepen your relationships with others and encourage them in their walk with Christ?

Application: This week, reach out to someone in your faith community and schedule a time to meet for coffee, a walk, or a conversation about how God is working in your lives. If you’re not currently involved in a small group or Bible study, consider joining one. Embrace the opportunity to grow with others and encourage one another in your faith.

Closing Prayer: Lord, thank You for the gift of community. Help me to embrace moments with others and invest in relationships that help me grow in my faith. Give me the courage to reach out and encourage those around me. May our conversations and time together draw us closer to You and strengthen our walk with Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
